The Art Adventure Program introduces K-6 students to works of art from a variety of cultures. Trained school volunteers visit classrooms with posters of art relating to a common theme, such as animals, celebrations, or relationships. For information on how your school can join the program, call (612) 870-3056.
Additional support provided by the BNSF Railway Foundation.
Every school must have a designated coordinator to serve as the main contact for the school. Coordinators are responsible for reserving an Art Adventure set, recruiting and registering volunteers for training, picking up and returning the Art Adventure set, and requesting an Art Adventure tour. Before giving classroom presentations, school volunteers attend Picture Person Training at the museum. Training is considered mandatory. Contact your school’s coordinator to find out training dates and to register for training.
