Rated T @ Mia

Designed by teens for teens, Rated T @ Mia is a free social event focused on creative expression. Hosted by Mia’s Art Team, a group of high school students that work at the museum, Rated T is an invitation for all teens to hang out, take in some art, get hands-on, make cool stuff, and get to know Mia. And, of course, there are lots of snacks.

SAVE THE DATE: The next Rated T will be Friday, September 23! Check out full event details here.

Art Team

Art Team is a dynamic crew of high school students hired to help organize and host public events at Mia, including Rated T and Family Days. Art Team meets weekly to dig into the museum’s collection, meet local artists, and get the inside scoop on museum careers. Art Team is a year-round commitment and a paid position. Art Team members do not have to be great artists, but they must have an interest in learning about art, and should also enjoy being with people—especially kids. Who can apply? High school students ages 14 to 18. Must be enrolled for the upcoming school year.

How can I apply? Applications are accepted every spring. Check the “Employment Opportunities” section April 1 through May 15 and submit an application.
