Rated T @ MIA

Designed by teens for teens, Rated T @ MIA is a free social event focused on creative expression. Hosted by the MIA’s Art Team, a group of high school students that work at the museum, Rated T is an invitation for all teens to hang out, take in some art, get hands-on, make cool stuff, and get to know the MIA. And, of course, there are lots of snacks.

SAVE THE DATE: The next Rated T will be Friday, August 28!

Art Team

Art Team is a dynamic crew of high school students hired to help organize and host public events at the MIA, including Rated T and Family Days. Art Team meets weekly to dig into the museum’s collection, meet local artists, and get the inside scoop on museum careers. Art Team is a year-round commitment and a paid position. Art Team members do not have to be great artists, but they must have an interest in learning about art, and should also enjoy being with people – especially kids. Who can apply? High school students ages 14 to 18. Must be enrolled for the upcoming school year.

How can I apply? Applications are accepted every spring. Check the “Employment Opportunities” section April 1 through May 15 and submit an application.
