(SOLD OUT) Anna Bonavita & Isabella Dalla Ragione ǀ A Taste of Italy

What makes for cultural excellence in the Italian world of food, fashion, and film? An inspiring and fertile landscape, rich history, sophisticated art. The century-old traditions of treasuring and cultivating beauty. It’s the art of keeping artisan values alive. Simple gestures such as choosing fruits and vegetables in the marketplace, admiring natural scents and colors, and appreciating those who toil to produce such excellence…as well as those who savor it.

Chocolate in Italy: A New Renaissance

Anna Bonavita, chocolate connoiseur and director of the Italian Cultural Center of Minneapolis/St. Paul, will take you on a fascinating tour of Italy’s finest artisan chocolate. From its state-secret beginnings as a “jasmine chocolate drink” created by Cosimo III de’ Medici (Grand Duke of Tuscany) to elegant and environmentally forward creations by artisans at Amedei and Domori, you’ll explore chocolate as never before. Complete the tour with a scorecard from Compagnia di cioccolato (Italy’s premiere nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of fine artisan chocolate) and experience an artful selection of chocolates like a true expert.

About Archeologia Arborea

Isabella Dalla Ragione, Italian agronomist and researcher, has found inspiration in the many varieties of fruits and vegetables on the frescoes of palazzos in Umbria. She has identified and preserved countless forgotten species in her orchard, Archeologia Arborea.
