Bold Works of the 20th Century: A Collaborative Performance Series presented by MacPhail Center for Music and the Minneapolis Institute of Art

The vivid, groundbreaking, and shockingly bold work of Matisse meets the bold music of Stravinsky, Ravel, and Ellington in this concert expanding on the exhibition Matisse: Masterworks from The Baltimore Museum of Art. This is the last of three Collaborative Performance Concerts featuring the music of MacPhail teaching artists. The musical selections have been chosen by MacPhail cello instructor Daniel McIntosh and will be performed by Jean De Vere, Alison Fahy, Daniel McIntosh, Adam Meckler, Bryan Nichols, Richard Tostenson, and Stephanie Wendt. The pre-concert talk will be given by Erika Holmquist-Wall, assistant curator and provenance specialist in the MIA’s paintings department.

Generous support provided by the Dr. Werner and Elizabeth Simon Music Fund.

Admission: $10; $5 for MIA members and MacPhail Students
