Fakes & Forgeries: A Panel Discussion on Law & Art

As part of the 100th Birthday Year, the MIA has partnered with Thomson Reuters to host an engaging and highly visual panel discussion on the intersection of law and art. Starting with discussion on some of the most famous art forgery cases, the panelists will discuss authentication–from the art expert’s eye to scientific investigation; legal issues, such as copyright, art fraud statutes, and preventive measures; and the cultural implications to art practice and art trade.

This program is for legal professionals, as well as anyone interested learning more about the fascinating intersection of law and art.
