Art-making: Bug Bonanza & Terrific Trees
11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Make a variety of beautiful or beastly bugs, or add to an artful arbor installation.

Demonstration: Bee Squad
11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
See the University of Minnesota Bee Squad in action, as they perform a honey extraction from the MIA’s very own rooftop hives. Chat with bee experts, view the observation hive, and sample some Rooftop Gold honey.

Yoga

Strike poses inspired by artworks in and around the museum, with instructor Anna Vazquez.

Community Tables

Get to know representatives from the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, Whittier Alliance, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, and Walker Art Center.

Dig into a tour that’s all about dirt, designed just for little ones. This tour explores artist-in-residence Monica Haller’s installation, “Beneath the Ground.”
