Behold vivid, shockingly bold work by a 20th-century master of color, shape, and balance. Free on the March Family Day! Plus, be sure to pick up a free activity book designed just for kids.

Be dazzled by contemporary ballet performances that offer a glimpse into the life of Henri Matisse as he produced his book, Jazz. Presented by Ballet Royale Minnesota and Twin Cities Ballet.

Art-Making: Portraits

Paint a portrait in the style of Henri Matisse.

Art-Making: Sculpture
11 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Be inspired by Matisse’s sculptures, then create a masterpiece of your own.

Art-making: Postcard Collage

Create a colorful collage postcard using Matisse’s “drawing with scissors” technique, then mail your work of art to someone special.
