Flowers After Hours
Join Friends of the Institute, Caldrea, and Bachman’s to kick off Flowers After Hours with a May Day extravaganza of flowers, fashion, and fine art.
Enter through the grand doors of the MIA’s historic 24th Street entrance, especially decorated by Bachman’s for the festivities. Then, make your way to the Fountain Court where Alexis and Elizabeth from MyTalk 107.1 will emcee a fashion show featuring dresses and accessories designed by Bachman’s award-winning floral artists and constructed entirely out of flowers.
Watch as contestants create fashion accessories from the contents of a mystery box in “BloomOff.” Join the activities, have your picture taken, pick up a Caldrea sample, and make a paper-flower accessory to take home.
Leave plenty of time to visit the galleries and interact with the pedestal artists whose floral creations were inspired by MIA masterworks.
