Pop-Up Artist Talk: Liu Dan

Join us for brief creative conversations with contemporary artists responding to artwork at the Print + Drawing Fair. See artworks and processes highlighted through the creative lens of internationally renowned Chinese ink painter Liu Dan, artist Carolyn Swiszcz, and Cole Rogers, Highpoint Center for Printmaking artistic director and master printer. Talks take place right outside the entrance to the fair. No registration required; first-come, first-served seating. Free and open to the public.

Liu Dan is one of China’s most renowned living artists, translating his fastidious observations of the world around him into ink through fresh ideas about composition and original brushstroke techniques. He will be in Minneapolis for the opening of his Mia exhibition “Ink Unbound: Paintings by Liu Dan,” on view September 17, 2016–January 29, 2017.
