Shahzia Sikander: Art as Consciousness

Pakistani-born artist <a href="http://www.shahziasikander.com/">Shahzia Sikander</a> creates large-scale and notable contemporary pieces. Experimenting also with smaller scale and multiple mediums, Sikander considers the influences present in conflicting political and cultural histories. Her previous exhibitions are numerous, including the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Whitney Museum.
