Sketching in the Galleries: Exploring Implied Space—Linear Perspective

One of the wonders of two-dimensional art to both viewers and makers is the illusion of three-dimensional space on the flat surface. Linear perspective is one of a number of methods of creating this implied space. In this class, we will cover the basic parameters of linear perspective. Students will use techniques discussed to draw accurate space from works in the permanent collection.
