Havekost will talk about her exhibition “Chthonic,” on view through June 16 in U.S. Bank Gallery, which explores the simultaneous joy, sublime embarrassment, and disorderly beauty of the human body through her anthropomorphic sculptures. Havekost lives and works in Rochester, Minnesota. She earned a BFA in printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of New Mexico. Havekost is a two-time recipient of the Minnesota State Arts Board’s Artist Initiative grant and has exhibited her work in Boston, Dallas; Eureka, California; and Tasmania.This exhibition is part of the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program, in U.S. Bank Gallery.
