Make the most of Minnesota’s short growing season with lush floral designs plucked from Mia’s permanent collection, all on view for the first time. In this virtual pleasure garden, tulips, daffodils, and morning glories mingle with the noble rose, whatever the weather may bring. Standouts include an embroidered Portuguese bedcover, a painted Chinese palampore, and a hot-pink priest’s mantle—all created in the 1700s. Women designers get special attention, with works by Anna Maria Garthwaite (1688–1763), Marjatta Metsovaara (1927–2014), and Helena Hernmarck (b. 1941).
