2014 Projects are off to a GREAT start!

September 2nd was the official  kick off of “Young People’s Ofrendas: Expressions of Life and Remembrance” for 2014. Now in its 7th year, this unique museum-school partnership begins in the art classrooms of four Minnesota high schools and culminates in an exhibition of students’ ofrendas (shrines to honor ancestors) at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts….

Young People’s Ofrenda: Expressions of Life & Remembrance

This annual exhibition features ofrendas—altars or shrines—made by high school students in four Minnesota schools as part of the “Young People’s Ofrendas” program.
