In this role, you will…

  • Be proactive and assertively friendly to welcome all Mia audiences.
  • Connect visitors with Mia’s collection, programs, and amenities.
  • Represent Mia’s mission, vision, and values.

Specific Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a generous spirit and positive presence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move for extended periods of time throughout Mia.
  • Comfortable using technology including iPads and iPods.
  • Commitment to volunteering a minimum of four hours each month
  • Attend required training and ongoing learning opportunities.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and be a minimum of 18 years of age. Prospective volunteers must complete an application and may be contacted for an interview. Due to the limited number of available positions, not every applicant may be asked to participate. Volunteer benefits include free admission to special exhibitions, curator-led tours, a complimentary parking pass, and making a great contribution to the Minneapolis Institute of Art through your generosity.
