Water Is Life Posters

Free; open to ages 9–12.
Let’s honor the importance of water in our lives with the help of Spirit Lake Dakota–artist Marlena Myles. Student artists will create posters using stencils, drawing inspiration from artworks found at Mia and from water itself.

The Crossover: Art + Basketball

October 23–27, 4–6PM
Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 4055 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis
$10 Minneapolis residents; $15 non-residents
Open to ages 11–18.

Let’s use a basketball backboard as a canvas to explore the basic elements of art. Taught by artist Twin Cities aerosol-art pioneer Peyton Russell, this week-long class will be inspired by artworks in Mia’s collection.
