Designed by teens for teens, Rated T @ Mia is a free social event focused on creative expression. Hosted by Mia’s Art Team, a group of high school students that work at the museum, Rated T is an invitation for all teens to hang out, take in some art, get hands-on, make cool stuff, and get to know Mia. And, of course, there are lots of snacks.
Check out photos from past Rated T events here.
Art Team is a dynamic crew of high school students hired to help organize and host public events at Mia, including Rated T and Family Days. Art Team meets weekly to dig into the museum’s collection, meet local artists, and get the inside scoop on museum careers. Art Team is a year-round commitment and a paid position. Art Team members do not have to be great artists, but they must have an interest in learning about art, and should also enjoy being with people—especially kids.
