Michelle Grabner: Working from Home

Michelle Grabner is an artist, curator, and writer based in Milwaukee. Together with her husband, Brad Killam, Grabner founded The Suburban in 1999 and the Poor Farm in 2009. These influential artist-run project spaces in Illinois and Wisconsin have been integral to cultivating a vibrant contemporary art scene in the Midwest.

Grabner will discuss her work, the 2014 Whitney Biennial, the 2016 Portland Biennial, and the new Triennial FRONT, an international exhibition to take place in Cleveland and vicinity in 2018.

Michelle Grabner is the Crown Family Professor of Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
