Share with Mia: An Artist Skill-Share Event

Join artists Jonathan Herrera Soto (upcoming MAEP fellow) and Donald Thomas (Million Artists Movement) to learn about their processes and practices—and even try some of their techniques for yourself. At this event, each artist will give a 45-minute presentation on his own life and work, after which audience members will get to participate in some hands-on art making. This event is FREE, tickets available here.

Jonathan Herrera Soto will lead a workshop in pulling single-layer screen prints. Herrera Soto often incorporates stencil making into his work, and he will discuss the importance of this process in his art.

Donald Thomas will share the line-design pencil technique behind his woven-yarn installations. Participants will learn the basics and then use color pencils and  imagination to create individual line designs.
