Third Thursday: Design Night with AIGA MN

Connect with creatives from the local design community at this month’s FREE Third Thursday event with AIGA Minnesota. Enjoy music by FNK, a cash bar, and food trucks Samurai Teppanyaki and Fro Yo Soul. Hear about visual design that defies standard grid-based conventions, as well as concepts like empathy, kindness and inclusion in “Design: Off  The Grid,” a panel discussion moderated by Precious Wallace (artist, designer and CEO King P. Studio) featuring leading Twin Cities creatives Greta Kotz (illustrator and designer, Lead Design Supervisor at Juxtaposition Arts), Leeya Jackson (Art Director at Carmichael Lynch), Kprecia Moore (Designer and creator of kpinspires.com), Bert Lee (AIGA MN Director of Education, dancer and digital magician), Elana Schwartzman (designer/owner Fontlove Studio and Director of Proof Public).

Learn more about volunteer opportunities with AIGA MN, and pick your favorite Pantone to make into a button. Experience “End of Times 3,” 32 letterpress prints by 32 artists, as well as digital installations by FNK, Brian Skalak and Ted Kusio. Create a stylish alphabet letter for a collaborative type project with font designer Chank Diesel.
