Often as artists we have a difficult time presenting people of other races accurately,  we allow our perceptions to influence our art. The sculptor of the Algerian really saw his subject and brought them to life. The dignity and majesty of the Algerian never fails to take my breath away. We visit Mia several times a year, and I always visit the Algerian. It always feels like connecting with an old friend.
