Afrolatinidad Festival

Celebrate the fourth annual Afrolatinidad: Vibras de la Diaspora, a collaboration between Mia and LatinoLEAD.

Join us for an afternoon of Afro-Latinx cultural learnings and impact. Afrolatinidad: Vibras de la Diaspora is a unique opportunity to explore Afro-Latinx identity and heritage, while contributing to the rich tapestry of our diverse Minnesota community.

What to expect at Afrolatinidad 2023:

  • Tour Mia’s “ReVisión: Art in the Americas,” which tells a compelling historical narrative about the Americas by linking ancient and contemporary artworks at the heart of the region’s cultural heritage.
  • A fun, relaxed afternoon in community, with lots of options for the whole family. Enjoy Afro-Latinx crafts, story time, music, and dance!
  • Food will be available for purchase or bring your own picnic.
  • An exciting lineup of national and local Afro-Latinx cultural leaders.
  • A cross-generational, community-centered celebration of Latinx and allies. At Afrolatinidad 2023, we’ll envision new ways to connect and grow as a people and embrace the richness of our culture with joy and amazing vibes!
