What We Do
Managing the Collection
Mia holds its collection in public trust. As stewards of these artworks, we follow core standards set by the larger museum community to responsibly preserve, document, and exhibit them, ensuring they remain in good condition and are accessible to the public for generations to come.
From tours to classes, films to Family Days, you won’t run out of ways to engage with the art at Mia. Get inspired, get involved, get out there.
Center for Empathy and the Visual Arts
Mia is collaborating with museum colleagues as well as social scientists, artists, educators, and others to research and explore practices for fostering empathy and global understanding through the power of art and to share these findings with the field.
