The Arnold and Augusta Newman Lecture Series: An-My Lê

Join us for the 2026 Arnold and Augusta Newman Lecture with artist An-My Lê.

Distinguished artist and educator An-My Lê explores the effects of war on culture and the environment. She’s received numerous honors, including a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship, and has been a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters since 2024. In this year’s Newman Lecture at Mia, Lê will discuss the arc of her career as well as her most recent projects. She’ll also explore how her own journey as an immigrant to the United States following the American War in Vietnam shaped and informed her artistic practice.
