SOLD OUT: Art in the Park: Family Nature Art Workshop

This is an off-site event that takes place at North Mississippi Park.

Inspired by “Dressed by Nature: Textiles of Japan,” Minneapolis Institute of Art invited the Textile Center to bring a hands-on family friendly art workshop to North Mississippi Park. This workshop will use pigments from surrounding natural areas, including North Mississippi Park and St. Croix River to highlight the Japanese art of Dorozome with tie-dye techniques on cotton bandanas. Participants are also welcome to bring their own cotton-based textile items to experiment with this unique process.

Each session lasts one hour.
