City Hour also engages you in color theory through an immersive experience and spotlights local artists who demonstrate the dynamic relationship between color and artistic expression.

February 20: Healing in Harmony
In the context of racial healing, blue’s calming properties can help create spaces that counteract the stress and trauma associated with historical and systemic injustices. Using blue to promote peace is also significant in various cultural traditions, where the color symbolizes trust, wisdom, and unity, resonating strongly with efforts to repair and reconcile social divisions. Blue’s historical associations with the oceans and skies further emphasize its vastness and depth, signifying freedom and hope. This is integral to movements aimed at addressing and healing the wounds of slavery, systemic inequality, and identity stripping. Join us as we heal in harmony with ourselves and each other through love and dreaming of the future.
