CODA Creative Aging Class: Street Art Expressions

As we age, our capacity for creativity increases but often goes untapped. In this series of classes designed for adults aged 55+, we’ll engage with a variety of art forms to discover our personal capabilities while forming meaningful connections within our communities.

From ancient Egypt to present-day New York City, artists have used a variety of tools and techniques to make art on the streets. We’ll look at the history of graffiti, then learn to use drawing, collage, aerosol painting, stencil cutting, and wheat pasting to express our own styles and personal voices while creating individual works and a group mural. Have fun, meet people, and make a masterpiece. No street art experience necessary.

Led by artist Peyton Russell.
