
CODA Creative Aging Class: The Art of Song
As we age, our capacity for creativity increases but often goes untapped. In this series of classes designed for adults aged 55+, we’ll engage with a variety of art forms to discover our personal capabilities while forming meaningful connections within our communities.
In the “Art of Song” classes, we’ll learn how social and historical context has shaped art and music. We’ll join our voices to sing six musical works that represent a diverse range of history and geography. Each week’s song will build on elements or skills learned the previous week, culminating in a concert in the galleries. Have fun, meet people, let your voice be heard. No singing experience necessary!
Classes are held:
(8 classes) Fridays, September 20–November 8, 10:30am–noon
Tickets are $80, $40 for My Mia Members, include all materials and supplies, and are available online, by phone at 612.870.3000, or in person at the Visitor Services desk in the museum’s Third Avenue lobby.
