CANCELLED: Educators’ Evening: When Home Won’t Let You Stay
The health and safety of Mia visitors, volunteers, and staff is always our highest priority. While Mia has not been directly affected by COVID-19, we have decided to cancel all events, activities, and tours through March 26, 2020, based on public health officials’ recommendations for social distancing.
If you’ve already reserved a ticket, we will automatically refund the cost of your ticket(s) to the original form of payment. Mia will be working over the next few days to process all refunds. If you paid with a credit card, you can expect to see a deposit by March 20. If you paid by check or cash, you will receive a check by March 26.
Please be assured we are monitoring the situation carefully and are committed to being responsive to and following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health.
Though events are cancelled, the museum does remain open. We are taking precautionary measures, including disinfecting public and high-traffic areas multiple times daily. In addition, we have temporarily closed our Family Center, removed touch screens, and suspended the Art Carts program — which contains reusable props and teaching tools that are handled by many visitors — to minimize shared contact.
Thank you for your understanding.
