Family Day: Welcoming Whimsy

<p>Look at art through a new lens at Mia! This Family Day, get inspired by “<a href="https://new.artsmia.org/exhibition/domestic-idols">Domestic Idols</a>,” on view through September 29. This exhibition features a collection of surprising and wacky art, like a colossal puppy, and a woven-textile creek! Play with colorful dots and paint something out of the ordinary with Mia teaching artist Akiko Ostlund. Experiment with images and stretch your imagination to make a unique collaged envelope with artist Leon Currie. Plus, discover art from around the world—and close to home—on a gallery hunt of Mia’s vast collection.</p>
