CANCELLED Flowers After Hours
In consideration of the health and welfare of our visitors, volunteers, and staff, the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Friends of the Institute have cancelled Art in Bloom 2020. Mia is committed to following the guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Public Health to contain the spread of COVID-19.
We realize this is an event that many of you look forward to each year, and we apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause. We are grateful for the many hours of volunteer time that go into making Art in Bloom a success, and look forward to welcoming you all to the events in 2021. Please tune into our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels for a virtual festival of flowers in the feed from April 23-26, 2020.
While we are happy to issue a refund for tickets purchased to Art in Bloom events, we hope you will consider making your purchase a contribution to the museum. Proceeds from Friends’ fundraising events, including Art in Bloom, support busing for school groups, as well as the museum’s permanent collection and vital educational programs. At this time of uncertainty, your contribution truly is critical to enabling the Friends and Mia to support the collection, staff, and facilities necessary to be accessible to the public when the galleries and programs are reopened.
We are grateful for your support of our efforts and look forward to welcoming you back to our galleries and public spaces. Art in Bloom Even in these uncertain times, our mission to inspire wonder through the power of art continues. Please consider making a donation today.
