David Garrard Lowe | The Artists of Montmartre

Presenter: David Garrard Lowe

Picasso painted there. So did Van Gogh, Mondrian, Monet, Degas, and Toulouse-Lautrec—when they weren’t passing the hours in Le Chat Noir and the Moulin Rouge. In fact, the Parisian neighborhood of Montmartre may be the best-known creative enclave in the world, a bohemian gathering place nonpareil.

David Garrard Lowe, a cultural historian, author, and current head of the Beaux-Arts Alliance in New York, will bring this colorful refuge to life by highlighting the artists who put it on the map. Return with him to the bohemian heyday of the belle époque and immerse yourself in the incredible creative minds it produced and continues to inspire.
