Inspired by Mia’s Frankfurt Kitchen period room, join us  for the premiere of Kitchen Dance, a conceptual short dance film that explores the multi-dimensional lives of women and their work. Through modern movement, Kitchen Dance examines the complex demands women still face today in pursuit of their own aspirations at home and in the workplace.

Maribeth Romslo, director, writer, and producer, was inspired by the original Frankfurt Kitchen in Mia’s permanent collection.

A screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with director Maribeth Romslo and choreographer Zoé Emilie Henrot of Ballet Co. Laboratory.

This project was made possible by the Minnesota Arts Board Artists Initiative Grant.

Free; tickets required. Reserve your ticket here, or call (612) 870-3000.
