Make and Take Workshop: Orchid Kokedama

Join Jenn Hovland, CPFD, of Fleur de Louise Flower Studio in Stillwater, to learn the Japanese planting style of kokedama, a unique and easy way to display plants. In this workshop you’ll learn a brief history, get care and display ideas, and have guided work time to complete one kokedama. Hovland is a florist and horticulturist with more than 25 years’ experience in floral design and gardening. She loves to tell people that working with plants and flowers makes her heart sing. Hovland loves sharing this passion with others through hands-on workshops. She’s a valued contributor to Art in Bloom as an individual pedestal floral artist, chair of the AfterBloom Event/AIB Committee member, and team lead on the Koehler and Dramm Institute of Floristry welcome floral piece (outside the Third Avenue entrance). She is back by popular demand as an instructor.
