MIA offers free screening of The Royal Tenenbaums

Surprise, happy #BDayMIA!

In honor of The Habsburgs: Rarely Seen Masterpieces from Europe’s Greatest Dynasty, the MIA invites you to get to know a similarly quirky, though not technically “royal,” family with a free screening of Wes Anderson’s cult classic The Royal Tenenbaums on Friday, April 10. (Bonus, the film features a score by Mark Mothersbaugh, the musician and visual artist whose work will be on view at the MIA this summer in a unique retrospective.)

Doors to the auditorium will open at 6 pm and the screening will begin at 6:30 pm. Arrive early to enjoy Wes Anderson movie trivia hosted by Trivia Mafia and, of course, popcorn!  Feel free to sport your favorite track suit, tennis outfit or polo dress in honor of your favorite Tenenbaum.

The screening is free, but tickets are required – reserve yours now online here, or by calling (612) 870-3000.
