Movies in the Park: Queen of Katwe

Mia partners with the <a href="https://www.minneapolisparks.org/">Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board</a> for their summer Movie in the Park series. Movies will start at dusk. Please bring your own seating. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.
On Monday, August 9th join us at Loring Park at dusk for a screening of Queen of Katwe (directed by Mira Nair, 2016.)

A Ugandan girl sees her world rapidly change after being introduced to the game of chess.
Come early starting at 7PM to catch the Mobile Mia art bike! Mobile Mia artists will share art materials and a water protector prompt inviting you to draw and reflect on how you can protect a body of water you care about.
