Sketching in the Galleries: Drawing Prints from the Collection

The broad variety of printmaking techniques allow for a huge range of expressive potential. By looking at and drawing prints the student can learn the strengths of both linear and tonal approaches to the drawing process. Class discussion will cover some of the basic printmaking methods and linear and tonal shading techniques in drawing.
