Stories of the Supernatural at Moon Palace Books

This is an off-site event that takes place at Moon Palace Books.

Combining the supernatural and storytelling, hear from several artists from Minneapolis College of Art and Design as they share their explorations of the otherworldly through graphic novels and comics. This event takes place at Moon Palace Books, and is co-hosted Moon Palace Books and Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

This event is created in conjunction with “Supernatural America: The Paranormal in American Art,” on view at Mia through May 15, 2022.

About the Artists

Theodore Kidd is a transgender comic artist originally from Upstate New York whose work focuses on fantasy and the paranormal that feature women and queer protagonists.

Remy Burke (they/them) is a genderqueer comic artist based in the Midwest. They enjoy creating character driven comics through speculative fiction and magical realism. They currently major in Comic Art and minor in Creative Writing at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Toxic Metal Press is a small press collective based in South Minneapolis whose mission is to empower artists working at the intersection of Comics, Zines, and Printmaking by creating a platform that celebrates handmade goods and independent projects.

MCAD Comics Club is a collective of student comic artists and cartoonists that currently attend Minneapolis College of Art and Design, all with the passion to create and share their stories.
