Tapestry Violin: Musical dialogues between Jan Groth and Peter Sheppard Skaerved

Join us for an evening of music in celebration of the exhibition “Jan Groth’s Linear Tapestries,” featuring Mia’s newly acquired work by Groth. Violinist Peter Sheppard Skaerved will perform a selection of classical Baroque and Norwegian traditional music, along with some of his own compositions developed in response to Groth’s oeuvre.

Peter Sheppard Skærved lives in London. He is acclaimed for his collaborative work with museums, working regularly with the British Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Galleries, Victoria & Albert Museum and worldwide. He plays on a 1698 Stradivari owned by Joseph Joachim from the collections of the Royal Academy of Music, where he is the Fellow of Performance Studies.
