SOLD OUT – Tasting at Tattersall
Whether you prefer your history shaken or stirred, you won’t want to miss this unique tasting experience at Tattersall Distilling in Minneapolis. You’ll sample historic concoctions like pear ratafia, milk punch, and saffron-infused bitters, along with foods inspired by recipes from the past. Tattersall’s artisans, in conjunction with Chef Steven Brown (Tilia, St. Genevieve), have patiently re-created these drinks and dishes from 18th-century recipes archived in the Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Enjoy live music along with food & drink at this one-of-a-kind-event you won’t want to miss. Curator and rum expert Bertie Mandelblatt will also be present. Hear her talk, “Intoxicated Empire: Alcohol, Consumption & Slavery in the 18th-c. Atlantic World,” Sunday, March 3, at Mia.
Alcohol’s Empire project is part of “Living Rooms,” an initiative to present Mia’s historic interiors and decorative arts collections in new ways.
Tickets $50 for this 21+ event. Register beginning February, 1: online, in person at Mia box office or call 612.870.6323.
