Virtual Event: Art School: Paper Collage

Art School is in session! Join a Mia teaching artist each week for a drop-in art-making experience. We’ll explore works from Mia’s collection and create art using simple materials we can find around us. Each week’s session is designed with a particular audience in mind, but open to everyone! Sessions last approximately 45 minutes.

In this session of Art School, K – 6 teachers, students and their adults are invited to join Mia teaching artist Laura Wennstrom to look at a work of art together, and then make some art! Participants will use the quilts of Gee’s Bend for inspiration to make their own collages. Materials needed: Colored paper, including, construction paper, junk mail, magazines, and blank paper. Optional materials: Scissors, glue stick, colored pencils.

No need to register, just meet us on Mia’s Teaching Artist YouTube on Tuesdays at 10am! Click here to join.
