Virtual Event: The Dance of Shiva

Aparna Ramaswamy, the co-artistic director of Ragamala Dance Company, dances in celebration of Mia’s recently conserved and reinstalled sculpture of Shiva Nataraja. Ramaswamy’s original choreography was set to music composed by a 19th-century Indian king. The recorded performance was followed by a conversation between Ramaswamy and Pujan Gandhi, Mia’s Jane Emison Assisant Curator of South & Southeast Asian Art.
