Virtual Open Studios: Live!
Join artists and educators for a live virtual open studio on select Fridays at 1pm. During each session, you can tune in to learn a new art-making technique, featuring materials you’re likely to have on hand around you!
On July 31 at 1:00PM, join Participatory Experience Assistant Victoria Myers for a colorful activity inspired by Wadsworth Jarrell’s portrait of the Revolutionary Angela Davis. Click here to view the portrait. Using a mix of colors and materials, we will be creating a portrait collage of someone powerful in our lives.
Here are some materials you will need to follow along with this project:
- glue/glue sticks
- markers
- white paper
- colorful tissue paper
- scrap paper
- leftover wrapping paper
- magazines
