Explore abstraction in a Vitality Arts workshop series led by teaching artist and museum educator Ilene Krug Mojsilov.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, join us and free yourself from subject matter! Experiment with color, texture, line, and shape to create paintings that reflect your personal style. You’ll learn about early abstract artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian and contemporary artists Frank Stella, Grace Hartigan, and Yayoi Kusama, among others. Then, we’ll tour the museum’s galleries and get inspired by abstract painting and sculpture in Mia’s collection.

Come with a willingness to play with paint!
