Vitality Arts: Horizon Line Mural Workshop
Intro to Mural Painting
In this five-week workshop, students of all levels and backgrounds will come together for a collaborative art-making experience.
Led by local artist and educator Cadex Herrera, participants will express their creativity by painting a 3 x 5 foot landscape acrylic painting on Polytab—each artist sharing a common horizon line. These individual contributions will then be integrated into a collective mural, connected by the horizon line, to form a single vibrant and cohesive landscape painting. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will depart with their completed landscape pieces.
Participants will learn acrylic painting fundamentals and explore landscape painting techniques and composition. Whether seasoned artists or novices, all are encouraged to join and contribute. Together, we will create a tapestry of diverse perspectives, blending vibrant hues to produce a mesmerizing visual symphony.
The collective mural will serve as a symbol of unity and shared creativity. It will stand as a testament to the beauty that emerges when individuals unite, inspired by their differences and united in their passion for art.
