Vitality Arts: Sketching Fashion

Explore Mia’s “Paris Couture” exhibition and sketch costumed figures using low-pressure exercises and a variety of materials. This course is suited for all experience levels, including beginners. Each week, teaching artist Stephanie Watson guides you through the galleries, stopping at a few pieces to study shape, color, and line. Back in the studio, you’ll sketch clothed mannequins and live models using different techniques and mediums, including pencil, watercolor, oil pastel, and collage.

Prompts meet you where you are, whether you’re just getting started or have plenty of experience. This course is all about learning to look longer and deeper, loosening perfectionism, getting playful on paper, and having fun with the other artists in the room.
