This exhibition features artworks by Hennepin County students that explore the meaning of how hope grows through kindness, compassion. friendship, peace, and mutual care.

The theme of “Hope Takes Root” encourages participants to express personal meanings of hope as reflected in people, nature, neighborhoods, family, or community, highlighting cultural touch points within their districts that reflect optimism, connection, and how hope takes root in our own lives.

Through creative expression and storytelling, this project celebrates the rich diversity and unity within Hennepin County, empowering young voices to shape a more inclusive, positive, and connected world.
