In celebration of the Friends’ centennial year, Mia partnered with two Minneapolis high schools and one St. Paul elementary school to create art focused on how students see the future of their communities. This exhibition features paintings, screen prints, and cardboard structures by student artists from Minnesota Transitions Charter School, North Community High School, and St. Paul Music Academy. Local artists Nancy Ariza, Michael Gaughan, Nancy Julia Hicks, and Bethany Johnson worked with students during multiple visits to create this lively and powerful exhibition.
