Assistant Director of Security – Training & Logistics

Full time, 37.5 hours/week

Pay Rate: $65,000 – 70,000/year

 

The Job

Serve as a member of the Security management team providing logistical support for day-to-day Security operations. Manage the training program for the Security department. Supervise and manage Security staff as designated by the Director of Security.

In this role, you will… 

  • Assist in the management of the Security operation in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Create, review, and update departmental procedures and policies on a semi-annual basis or as needed by carrying out the operational aspects of policies.
  • Through the My Tag system, review work orders (i.e. locks, doors, exit signs, etc.) and follows up with appropriate departments to ensure issues are addressed.
  • Design and implement training programs for security staff, including but not limited to: First Aid, CPR and Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT); Self-Defense and De-Escalation; Fire Extinguisher; and security post training; new security employee training etc.
  • Supervise the Security Patrol Officers, Regular, and Casual Gallery Guards.

Specific Requirements

  • High School graduate. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related security experience and proven supervisory/work direction experience.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent technical skills, specifically in MS Office required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective trainer.
  • Able to deal with sensitive security system information and personnel information in a confidential manner.
  • Must be willing to come in during off-hours for emergency situations.
