The Job
To provide high-level administrative support to the Deputy Director and Chief Curator and coordinate projects/communications for the Curatorial Division. Secondarily, provide administrative support the Content Strategist and Head of Exhibition Planning and Strategy.
In this role, you will…
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to all aspects of business pertaining to the Deputy Director’s Office.
- Maintain the Deputy Director’s calendar, including scheduling and prioritizing meetings, coordinating meetings, and making travel arrangements.
- Provide administrative support for the Deputy Director, and secondarily, the Content Strategist and Head of Exhibition Planning and Strategy.
- Coordinate projects and communications for Curatorial Division.
Specific Requirements
- At least 5 years previous high-level administrative experience.
- Ability to work responsibly with confidential information.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Excellent organizational and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, and to build positive professional relationships with all levels of staff, trustees and the public.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive relationships.
- Ability to identify urgent contacts/matters.
- Ability to function effectively and positively as a member of a team.
- Proven skill at maintaining calendars and organizing complex meetings.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Accurate keyboarding skills of at least 60 wpm.
- Record which demonstrates ability to anticipate work needs of supervisor.
